Your privacy matters. Follow these steps to request deletion of your personal data.

How to Request Account Deletion

If you wish to delete your account and associated personal data from Fodika or any restaurant app powered by Fodika, follow these steps:

  1. Email Us: Send a deletion request to business@fodika.app
  2. Include Required Information:
    • Your registered phone number
    • The restaurant app name (if applicable)
    • Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Verification: We may contact you to verify your identity before processing the request.
  4. Processing Time: Your request will be processed within 30 days.

What Data Gets Deleted

Upon account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Your account credentials (phone number, email, password)
  • Personal profile information (name, preferences)
  • Loyalty points balance and tier status
  • Saved delivery addresses
  • Active vouchers and rewards
  • WhatsApp authentication records

What Data Is Retained

For legal and operational reasons, we retain the following data:

  • Order History: Anonymized transaction records for accounting, tax compliance, and fraud prevention (required by law for 7 years).
  • Financial Records: Payment transactions and refunds for audit purposes.
  • Aggregated Analytics: De-identified usage data used for platform improvement (cannot be linked back to you).

Retained data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Deletion Timeline

  • Day 0: You submit deletion request via email
  • Day 1-3: We verify your identity and confirm request
  • Day 4-30: Data deletion process begins
  • Day 30: Deletion complete, confirmation email sent

Important Notes

  • Irreversible: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All loyalty points and rewards will be forfeited.
  • Active Orders: If you have pending orders, deletion will be processed after order completion.
  • Multiple Restaurants: If you use multiple restaurant apps powered by Fodika, specify which accounts to delete.
  • WhatsApp Data: Deletion only affects data stored by Fodika. WhatsApp message history is controlled by Meta and must be deleted separately through WhatsApp settings.

Alternative: Temporary Deactivation

If you're unsure about permanent deletion, you can request temporary account deactivation instead. This preserves your data for 90 days, allowing you to reactivate if you change your mind. Contact us at business@fodika.app to discuss this option.
